Update: As of 4/29/24, we are just over 1/3 of the way to our goal of $4,200! Thank you for helping us honor and celebrate our father’s life.
Myron Goldberg was connected with parks in many ways, both professionally and personally. After a 30-year career, Myron retired in 1993 as the Chief of Park Planning and Development of M–NCPPC, Montgomery Parks. It gave him great pleasure to know that his professional legacy continues to be enjoyed by so many.
Personally, Myron was passionate about all parks, taking his family to many national parks for family vacations. With his wife, Natalie, they walked along the Rock Creek Trail each weekend, usually taking their dogs Fuzzy and later Kimba. Their daughters Elaine and Amy (and later the grandchildren) often joined them on the walks and have many fond memories. After Natalie passed away, Myron moved to an apartment in Chevy Chase and found new walking routes. There he found a bench which gave him immense pleasure. The bench not only gave him a place to rest, but also a place to reflect and reminisce about his life. He loved this bench.
Thank you for supporting the family’s effort to purchase a bench in the parks in Myron’s memory so that others may enjoy a place to stop, rest, and reflect.
